According to customs statistics, Japan’s scrap exports totaled around 458,000 tons in January this year, sinking by 18% compared to the year-ago level.
Among them, the exports to Vietnam accounted for the largest proportion, totaling around 209,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 55%. South Korea ranked second with around 138,000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 55; followed by Taiwan's 45,000 tons, a year-on-year hike of 33.8%.
